Today At the Lone Star Show and Pull In Whitehouse Texas my 53 SFW CA got 3 firsts in 3500, 4000 and 4500 competitive stock weighted classes. Non factory suitcase weights

Can't say much about winning 3500 since I was the only one in the class and made a full pull.

4000 was a hoot. Out pulled my closest competition by 25+ feet.

4500 class was pulled with out adding any additional weights. Lacked 5 feet of making a full pull with a 4000# tractor.
I watched them adjust the sled from 4000 settings by moving the hook point up from the bottom hole to one hole from the top on the sled. I picked a line far to the right and found unbelievable traction on virgin dirt especially at the far end.

Felt real good to be competitive again after a dry spell of seconds and third place finishes. All in all I had a great day pulling my CA

If I could have borrowed two or three hundred pounds of weights to bring my drawbar weight up a bit for the 4500 class I believe I would have made a full pull. All this AC fun with a factory stock engine, big tires and pulling in first gear.

Maybe you should keep your CA. The doctors can't manage to come up with any better therapy than that!!!! It's always good to let the other colors know not to discount ORANGE!!!
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Thanks Paul
As of yesterday the FOR SALE sign has come off the CA. It made me feel too good all over to not want to pull this giant killer again whenever the opportunity comes along to do so. The thumbs up and cheers from spectators and fellow pullers made my day. Win, loose or draw pulling a Orange AC tractor is a winner every time.
If I could trade my 5 #100 suitcases for 10 #50 pounders I think my old body would be quite happy with the trade. lol

Ken,
Just love these small tractors, "Giant Killers"! You gave me the empetus to start pulling a 52CA  , wife's tractor, and at last count, we now have about 8 "small " tractors pulling here in WA. Orange is a steady winner tho we don't pull as heavy as yall do. 2.5 t0 3k, but I'm thinking of trying heavier classes. I DON"T want to compete against the wife tho!!
Way to go my friend!! Good pulling!!
Dan

One thing for sure. You don't need to be accused of being a WIFE BEATER.
