I've got a d-17 block with a fresh crankshaft from hapco with 2inch journal diameter. I'm going to use wd45 diesel rods but need Pistons that will take up the space from the rods that are going to be too short and still have a good combustion chamber volume. Not exactly asking for a cure all answer but maybe where to start. The engine dimensions are 4.5 inch bore and 5 inch stroke. The wrist pin size is just under 1 inch diameter on these wd45 diesel rods but that can be altered. Thank you, any help will be appreciated.

Get in touch with Egge in Cal. Don't know the city now but do a search and you'll find them. They build a lot of custom off the wall stuff and are really good.

Ross pistons in California will built you whatever you want, including floating piston pins with snap rings to retain them.
