We have a model ACC45PS Allis Chalmers tow-motor, which dates to 1974.
Need to add automatic transmission fluid and I don't know what type to use. Would the auto Dexron or type F fluids work? Thanks |

It probably calls for Type A, Dexron will be suitable.

back then - Type A - suffix A would be what is called for - Now they have a new Universal fluid that is the replacement for everything (SUPPOSEDLY) so unsure what .Could try that new stuff .

I agree with Joe(TX). Just replaced the Torque Converter oil in my 655 and was told Dexron is the oil to use. Not too expensive at $3.29 Qt for synthetic. Should hold up well.
