Just ordered online the 3 way start/light switch thru Steiner, Are they OK or did I waste my money?

I, personally, would rather replace the cutout (on the generator) with a regulator to avoid overcharging the battery, then replace the three way switch with a regular push/pull switch for the lights.

Me too. That's the way my B is. It still has the 3 position switch, but it only operates the lights now.

I've heard the repop switches leave very little room inside the original box and will short out if your not careful about installation.

I have taken several of those switches apart, cleaned them with WD-40 or a similar product and then put them back together and they function perfectly. If you have your old one, try that. Not a lot to go wrong in them except accumulate dirt for 60 or 70 years. Just check the resistor to make sure it's not burned out.

We offer an exchange program on the round Delco style switch. A lot of our customer's told us those aftermarket switches that everyone sells do not fit well at all in the instrument boxes and they short out causing issues. Drop by our website for pricing on our OEM rebuilt switches.

The newer style switches don't fit well in the electrical boxes on the smaller tractors like the B/C/CA/IB or the Styled WC, since those boxes are smaller than the WD/WD45. The newer switches will work in the boxes of the WD/WD45 though, but can be a pain. Steve has what a person needs and does a great job! Rick

Yep they are tough to fit (B). I put in a piece of rubber against the housing to stop any shorts.
