I believe they were rated at 83 pto hp. most of them dyno more, and they have a tremendous torque rise. you can check out tractordata.com also. they do have a fair amount of mistakes though.

Earlier models had problems with the thrust bearings. Earlier models also had thin drawbars that were susceptible to breaking - blame Fiat, they made them. I have a 1985 model and none of these problems apply to it. According to the local tractor wrecker I deal with, they said 6000s had a weak crown and pinion. I am very happy with my tractor though. It only has 4600 hours on it.

They are great tractors, GOOD TRANSMISSIONS, NO GEAR JUMPING !!! shift on the go, but those engines have to be wound up to get any power, doing loader work I keep mine at about 1800 rpm, right above the turbo; you get under the turbo- your done ; very fuel efficent ; too bad these didnt come out sooner - might have given ALLIS a better fighting chance

The rear half was built by Fiat, the front half and the cab is A-C.

Cabs were designed by Allis but at least some were built at Crenlo in Rochester MN. They still had photo books a dozen years ago when I worked there showing that cab.

Were 38 inch rear wheels/tires available and is this the same 8 hole pattern as the 180-185?

I believe 15.5-38s were an option. Not sure about the bolt pattern. The castings on these tractors are much thicker than those on a 185. You would need some really long lug bolts.
