I'm going to be in the Menominie, WI...and knew of the collection up in the area with the last AC tractor. Does anyone know if the family gives tours or not?

I wonder what the 8070 experimental is like. Difference between it and production model.

That looks like the auction, thanks for posting that. This is a link I saved that was posted here a while ago, it has some really good pictures of the tractors. I believe this was from some of the members on a tour of the place.

Its a 8095 that he built based off the real one from what I've been told.

It was fanetti, he hauled allis tractors out of West allis with his trucking company. 4-5 years ago there was a article in the old allis news about him and all his tractors. Been covered on the forum a few different times as well I believe.

Those are the pictures I took when a few of us in our club toured Don Fanetti's collection a couple years ago. Don Fanetti died in 2009, it would be nice if a collection like that could stay together but that would be a big ordeal to manage. I'm glad I got to see it.

You practically have to be on site when bidding online. Bidding on Monday and pick up/ payment on Tuesday. No time to arrange transport.....

I don't believe it, but I went to my daughters Girl Scout meeting tonight, and wound up sitting next to my daughters friends dad. We talk Allis sometimes, so I showed him the auction bill. He says, "Oh, those are Dons tractors."
He personally knew Don Fanetti quite well, used to race with him or something. He said Don would see an Allis sitting by the road, buy it, drop it off at a body shop, tell them to completely refurbish it, and he would come back and get it, and usually drop another one off. And another, and another. Best Girl Scout meeting yet. |

I don't want to gossip, but a little bird told me the farm and tractors were left to the nephews, who can't agree on it, so they are auctioning them off.

I suspect only a few of Don's tractor will actually see new owners.
I can't prove it, but just a feeling I have. Fake auction is the only way to put a value on them. |

Not to mention the sale bill says over 50??? By the looks of the pictures I have seen hear there should be over 200 if the entire estate was selling.
