I cleaned out a spot in the garage for the next project. Was asked to restore a 1950 WD. Mechanically it's in very good shape, but has the typical wear points. Battery box is shot, air cleaner needs replaced, foot clutch needs bushed up, rear rims are corroded, etc.
I'll be posting updates as I get them. I will be on the lookout for a few pieces. - air cleaner assembly - breather cap for gov housing Thanks Adam https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=861189474004608&id=651641284959429&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.861189474004608%3Atl_objid.861189474004608&__tn__=%2Aslink to pictures Edited by Sandknob - 19 Nov 2016 at 3:33pm |

Looks like a good straight tractor. Just out of curiosity what is the s/n? Dad's '48 is 2214.

Great work saving the WD! Looks like the sandblasting is going to save a lot of prep time too.

Nice work. Thanks for the pictures. Huge amount of time and effort are required to do a proper restoration.

What is the chassis s/n ?? That foot clutch pedal foot pad sure looks like a 1948 version to me.

Congratulations on your restoration project and good luck on completion of the project. I have two 1950 WD's. One started out with my grandfather then passed on to Dad. The other was Dad's. Mom has some pictures of me on 1 of the WD's, sitting on the seat, when I was about 2 years old. At a few parades the announcer has asked what's special about my tractor. I reply "It's been in the family longer than I have."

Looks like a great start. Nothing is more beautiful that that fresh shiny orange paint.
