My D14 just like all the others pops out of 3rd gear if I don't hold it down. What do I need to door to fix this and is it something someone who isn't the best mechanic can do. I do have a IT manual already. Thanks Ron

I have a D15 that I tore the side out of the transmission to try and fix 3rd gear like what is happening to you. It is pretty self-explanatory from the side cover what needs done and you can judge from there how bad the damage is to the gears. I tried to bend the fork to make it engage deeper, and it worked. Third works great now and doesnt jump at all - but now 2nd gear wont hold (the fork is bent too far to hold third in that it cant pull 2nd back far enough) Another job for another day!
