I have been working on restoring my 720 for the last couple weeks after dark, and finally got it finished other than sandblasting and painting the mower deck. I have mixed feelings about actually using it now. Just thought I would share some pictures now before it gets dirty. Also a thanks to Benny for the front clutch.

Wow!  If you did this in that short of time, you certainly are a hard worker.  Looks great.

Looks like a nice Honda re-engine as well.

Please put in in the Garden Tractor section as well so they can enjoy the pics.

Congratulations!

Yeah I thought that I should have posted it there after I already did it. I actually completely disassembled and stripped it to bare metal and the heavier parts sandblasted. Somebody had sprayed painted it so I wanted to start over fresh. Luckily my wife likes helping so we worked on it together till midnight some nights. The 24hp Honda was already in it when I got it though.

She really looks nice. Almost hate to see it fitted with a mower deck and sent out into the tall grass.

Thanks everyone. I usually have to give myself a break between painting tractors to forget how much prep work goes into it lol. I'm going to work on painting my d17 next, but going to have to get equipment ready for spring first.

Very nice. Best looking Garden tractor ever. I want one with 3 ribs front and real tractor tires on the rear, narrower and taller, like 8.00x18" to go with a 185 with 15.5x38's....James

Terrific looking AC 720!
I mostly enjoyed your statement that your wife helps you restore tractors. I'm thinking she has motives to drive this sharp 720 mowing farm lawn this coming season?? Better get that mower deck painted & attached...

Yeah I told her she's gonna have to wear those little bootie things on her shoes when she drives it lol. It runs pretty good with that Honda. I'm kind of exited to try it out with the mower deck since the front clutch wasn't all there when I bought it. I built a blade for the back of it and my youngest brother bladed snow with it this winter.
