#1
talking about a 180/190 with a manual 2 speed in place of the PD, how much HP will they take before boom?

#2
with a gear box in place of PD not as easy to change speeds tractor has to be split? will it take more HP then the man. 2 speed? whats a ballpark cost? does it come with or w/out gears when purchased? where to get one or is it easy to build?  what mods need to be done to shaft or housing?

I think you are referring to removing the factory power director clutch and replacing it with a sliding coupler in example #1. The low side gears will hold up to about 650 - 700 HP / 1000 - 1200 ft. lbs. High side is direct drive so you wont break that.

In example #2 you are referring to an overdrive or under drive gearbox in front of the transmission I think. These are one speed only. The advantage is it allows you to speed up or slow down the final ratio to almost any ratio you want. Advantage #2 is that they are much easier to change the ratio if needed. One split where the torque housing meets the transmission and you are there. Gears used in these gearboxes are off the shelf pieces and are much less costly than having transmission gears custom made. If they are built correctly they will handle a LOT of horsepower. A complete gearbox will come with gears to the ratio of your choice. They will install with no shaft modifications. Some minor grinding of the housings may be needed to make them fit.

That's what I was after now what is the initial cost of the gear box? And per gear to change if needed to change? Or they sold as a set? Where or who makes gear box/ gears?

I have heard some can't take the HP and wasn't sure if there was different ones from
Others that are made or is there only one person that builds them or have made up dates since then?
