I got the D17 front end tore apart. The front pivot in the front pedestal is wore severely. Either there was never a bushing in it or it wore completely out. The weld on pivot on the axle does not look that bad. I know on the old forum sometime ago there was some conversation about how to fix. Can anyone assist? I was going to bore it out, put in a metal insert bore it out to the OD of the bushing, but afraid there is not going to be enough material left to be structurally sound.
Thanks,
