I have been looking for a good cylinder head for my D19 diesel without luck for a long time. Now my question is there are a couple different casting numbers and my old one was 4514790 and they say its unrepairable and I was just wondering if any of the other casting numbers will work right on my tractor. It would be really great if I could get some help on this, Thanks.

As far as I know there was two D-19D heads. Early one had a place to attach the water pump, later heads did not as the pump was moved to the block. When I was looking for a WD-45D head I used a place called THE Company out of Iowa http://www.the-co.com/ They had the best prices at the time and are great to deal with. I punched that casting number into Google and it is listed several places as available but who knows if they actualy have one unless you call,

To my knowledge, the D-19 never had the water pump inlet in the head as the WD-45D's and early D-17's. A D-17 Series III or series IV diesel head is the same design and may work.
I did not check the part numbers.
