![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Different party but brought this one in to get running again also: ![]() ![]() This one supposedly ran very well last fall when put away and would not start this spring. No idea but the clutch pedal is stuck all the way down and then engne does not attempt to fire off.

The D-17 supposedly runs very well but has a hydraulic leak. I didn't attempt to start it but rather winched it up onto the deck. It's been in that lean to shed about four years since last ran.
The 185 is actually a working tractor still running augers and pulling wagons etc. I took back his other tractor and brought this one in. The one I took back was an Agco-Allis branded unit and had coolant in the basement but was still running when found to be making oil. It was a SISU engine IIRC. The engine was inframed and it will be used during the upcoming harvest and tillage season. It did not have the best cooling system maintenance and the liners were leaking. Block was still round in the bores so nothing really needed there. Allis-Chalmers was very strong in this area in agriculture and I certainly still see a lot of them working.

When I bought my series 4 diesel, it was a snap coupler. I found a factory 3 point off a 170. Boy I loved that tractor with a factory 3 point. I'm sure you will too

Thanks Tom but the tractor is not mine. I only hauled it into the shop to make useful again. The guy that owns it has had it several years but usage ceased with a cabbed tractor purchase back in the 90's. I don't know if this one has been setting dormant that long but the battery is completely dead as nothing responded when I turned the key. I was going to jump it as the engine is free, but the gas smells terrible so didn't do anything other than winch it up onto the trailer.
