Today I pulled my 25-40 kero serial no 24531 in shop for rebuild. I is a 1930 model that was puchased in westeren OK, in november of 2008, out of a salvage yard. I do not think the moter is stuck, but the clutch has an issue that will not let moter turn completly over. Also will install starter and ring gear, so motor has to come out. While removing kero tank, I though about the many that had filled this tank over last 80 years. They were filling this 13 years before I was born. The tank needs no repair! Next was the little gas tank. How many times was it empty, while someone was trying to crank it. Many times I will bet. Little tank is usable! Off came front end next. Big pin in middle still fit nice. Wonder how many acres of wheat stubble past under here? Now the rocker arm covers. Looked better under there than most that I see. How many times have values bin up and down do suppose. Drained several gallons of diesel from pan. God bless the person that did this because it looked like it had ran not too many years ago. Makes you stop and tnink about its 80 years of life. Will remove more parts in the morning
