Most of you (and even me) have been wondering if I would ever get this thing done, well that time is finally here! 2 Years and 9 months of work and over $29,000 in Canadian funds and you can say that I have a brand new 2018 190XT.
Actually, it is a 1967. But for everything fixed, rebuilt or replaced I would consider it brand new. The only thing not touched was the hydraulic pump. Rebuilt engine top to bottom, starter, alternator, fuel injector pump (set 10% over stock) and primer pump, transmission and rear end. New clutch, brakes, water pump, turbo and lines, fuel injector tips, tie rods, wiring harness, battery and cables, remote ends, gauges, seat cushions and steering wheel. All new O rings in the hydraulic valve body, steering motor and repacked all cylinders. Radiator was boiled out and pressure tested, new thermostat and rad hoses. The welded and worn out 3 point hitch lift arms were replaced with a lightly used set from a 200. The upper lift arms, drop downs and rockshaft were from a burnt 185. New rear axle seals – removing the rusted cast wheel centers was an ordeal in itself. Oh yea, I also can’t forget the custom made front lug bolts! All pieces were painted individually (including nuts and bolts) and everything got touched up after reassembly – 11 Spray bombs and 6 gallons of AGCO corporate orange. New 10.00 x 16 BKT fronts and 18.4 x 34 Galaxy rear tires, new vinyl decals from Maple Hunter, and a new step from Mike Noonan (the best!). Where else can you get a brand new 100 hp tractor for that kind of money? It was one tired tractor when I got it. Why did I buy it? It had good sheet metal and the price was right! I knew it had problems, but not that many! As I first saw it... New and improved... My local fab shop machined the head of my new lug bolts to have the same dish as the originals... |

Absolutely awesome, sure would like one like that but not for the cost. I think you are right with it, I just could not afford it but it is great.

Myron, Well done! She is beautiful and thank you for pictures as you promised. I know the work you put in it, mine was a long venture as well. Enjoy using mine on the farm, makes me realize how well built and fun to farm with. Awesome job.

Really nice! She'll be alright in the field, but keep it out of the woods and brush. Don't want those limbs scraping off that pretty paint.

Great job.
Why are proper reproduction wheel bolts not on the market. I have a few new ones on my tractor, and they bug me. I didn't think of machining in a dish, but now I am. |
