Picked up this C on Saturday from a forum member from the far southern tropical area of Minn who made me an offer I couldn't refuse.  We put it to work yesterday moving the chicken coop and giving rides.  Runs great, really a fun little tractor to drive.  I have a little work to do on the SunMastr deck I also picked up on the same trip, then it will go to work mowing.  cheers, Creek

The C was always a nice looking tractor - love those narrow fronts.  This looks to be exceptional, very clean.  Am I missing the battery box?
Good Luck!

It's the second time around for the paint, but it is a decent job and the battery box will maybe be a future project (good spotting, Bill).  S/N puts it in 1941 - I hope I look that good when I'm 70 years old.  I even managed to rearrange the shop and squeeze it inside with the G and the D17 - the narrow front makes it really easy to park.
Thanks,
Creek

Seems to me 99 out of 100 are missing the batt box. I got lucky with a CA some yrs ago and found one that still had the original batt box with absolutely no rust.

Mark -
D10?  I'm thinking the next one is a CA......she's probably not thinkin' the same tho.

It is pretty nice for 70 years old, isn't it?  I think I caught MNLonnie at a weak moment for him to let this go.  I should have gone out and bought a lottery ticket on the way home!

cheers,
Creek

Awesome looking C you now own Creek. I agree the next should be a CA. I have one of each and they both have their specialties and are a blast to work with!

Lonnie-
Made it home no problem, Herman even got over 12mpg.  I was a nervous wreck by the time we pulled into WhoVille, I stopped about 12 times to check the chains after it got dark.  Hate it when you can't see the load.
I'm working on making a set of casters for the front of the deck.  Have to clean it up a bit and throw a little paint on the brackets.  The PTO pulley has the 1 3/8 hole so I gotta find an adapter to the 1 1/8, I'm hoping they have one at the local hardware, otherwise I'll get one off the interweb.  I am really looking forward to mowing - it's tough not to just throw the mower on and get going, but I want to paint that deck up a bit first so it looks as good as the C.  Once I get the deck on it prob won't come off for a long while, so gotta do it up right first.  Unfortunately the grass is not waiting.....
I've about worn out a 2lb hammer trying to get the pins out of the G plow.  50 years of sitting outside really has them froze up.  The neighbor comes off afternoons this weekend I hope so I can bring them over to him to apply some heat.  Once I get everything whipped into shape, I'll have to decide - plow with the G, mow with the C, or disk with the D17......what should I do today.....?  I can't wait!
cheers and thanks again, I really appreciate it.  See you on the 28th!

Boomer -
It's my first narrow front end - steers great, it will be nice for mowing.

Bruce -
I'm planning on being at the auction if you promise not to throw rocks at me - I haven't been to a meeting in a long time, they seem to line up pretty well with my trips.  The day of the auction I will have a couple customers from Finland with me, I have to deliver them to the Duluth airport in the afternoon, I'm hoping we can stay for most of the auction, I am sure they will enjoy it.
Neighbor is coming over tomorrow with his backhoe, we are going to run water out to the pasture and pig pen.  After we get that in I will be free to run power out to my shop - finally!  I have a couple of trips coming up, but hope to have the lights on and the beer fridge running by mid June!
cheers,
Creek

Nice looking little C NF , should do a great job mowing.  We have a B WF , did good, but the bench set is a little hard on the back.  I'm  thinking of a C or a CA NF for raking hay, and a set that is not a bench set.

Ted -
It's a Sun Mastr 60".  Pretty good shape.  It was just up the road from Lonnie, he put me on to it.  Has new blades and a fairly new round belt.  I am making a set of casters for it and getting it fixed up a little before I put it on.  Someone here mentioned using bed liner to paint mower deck underneath, I'm thinking about going that way.
The auction is 28 May in Blackberry, MN, southeast of Grand Rapids, you can go here to see the club site: http://theblackberryfarm.org/

cheers,
Creek
