I agree , Microsoft screwed up a good operating system with 10. I have some of these troubles with update deleting programs they don't want me running off of my desktop. Granted they don't delete my programs off my computer, they move them to make them harder to find and reset up. I feel for ya!

You should be able to use system restore to roll it back the way it was before.

Trash 10 and put 7 back on it, set it up to NOT autoupdate. That's what I have on this PC and it's 'stable'......unless you have specific hardware or software that REQUIRES 10, go back to 7. You CAN 'go back' and NOT lose any personal files. BTW IF you use Chrme, it has up to 20 dirty little programs accessing your PC and using your internet 24/7. An old DOS guy showed me that Krap....sure glad I use Firefox + Tbird !
As for MS 3 letter guys, I actually wrote Mr. Gates a REAL letter back in 84-5ish. I was pleasnatly surprised when a VP CALLED me, we talk for 1/2 hr and 3 days later DHL dropped off a 20# package of books and code for me. |

As long as we have people who believe that Microsoft or Windows people can phone you and proceed to take over your computer with your permission, there will be problems. This scam has been running for some time now and succeeds purely on the assumption that they are who they say they are and are there to help you. Countless computers have been screwed up and ransoms paid without helping the problem.
Beware...we only encourage them to continue as long as we permit these actions. regards, Ken McGregor |

Not had ANY issues with W10, had seven but as the last PC died I moved up. Seven is no longer supported so the add ons or options for photos and other items are getting slimmer by the month.
Some sites that I use do not have or do not accept access for the older Windows operating systems anymore. |

That is the way of the computer.....your old one isn't any good anymore so you have to buy a new one,,,,,,,oh say every 3 years. If I wasn't so old, I'd learn Linux and tell MS to kiss me in a special place.
