My opinion is that a 4 cycle will not replace a 2 cycle in this application. When I bought my Tiger it had a brand new B&S on it and it was a pooch. I picked up a running JLO/Rockwell for about $100 and there is no comparison. That's just my experience with them. Maybe if you went big enough with a Briggs it would be alright. What's wrong with your Rockwell?

No bolt in ones! Take's some work. 13 - 16hp Honda clone engines work in them. One of ours has a v twin water cooled in it! Want to purchase this new 20hp. v-twin clone and put in one. Here's a couple links to motors. And link to new clutches that you'll also need. If you want to rebuild the JLO, Snowmobile dealers are your best source. And cost would be as high as a new clone probably. Last new JLO piston & rings I brought was $100.00. and had 50.00 in boring cylinder. http://www.carrollstream.net/ |

we have a customer with a coot 6 wheeler it has a 20hp briggs twin but i think the biggest thing is getting the clutching right just like how important it is to make your snowmobile clucthes shift right. any engine is adog if those clutches will not work together
