 Topic: Springs???

Hi everyone. Have some springs, woundering if any of you can steer me to what they might fit. The number on tag say SP-226 and there about 3-1/8" X 1-1/2"OD X 1-1/16 ID. IV seen SP numbers in parts books but not this number, looks like maybe slip clutch spring.  Thanks for help

SP would be a old Lacrosse part number so a plow or cultivator

the one that has those numbers is a MNI from Nov. 1957

No, the MNI doesn't show the newer numbers. in the parts book (September 1958) for the IRCH that spring is #3 on page 54 in the slip clutch for the wagon elevator. however the same part number is #16 on page 6 and #6 on page 64 and they both show an extension spring, not a compression spring.
