Haven't even worked on the sprayer yet, think it has rained everyday since Wednesday and not suppose to stop until Thursday. so wont be anything happening around here for a while and there is very little done yet in the county.

j live in horse cave ky 70 miles south of louisville, and i am going to plant about 30 acres of corn this spring and it has been to wet for me to get my plowing done yet, i have my seed bought , my tractors preped and ready and i hope it will dry up this week so i can turn some dirt

To wet in MN yet, one guy planted some wheat last week but it was muddy. Brad(WI) what are you pulling your White 16 row with. I just bought the same thing for my brother in Dec. and will be pulling it with a 8030FWA.

No-tilled some oats into sandy ground two weeks ago yesterday, they've been snowed on three times..... Not a sign of them coming up, it just won't get warm here in central MI. I doubt we will plant corn until the middle of May this year. I think when we can start into warm gropund we will go like heck though.

Norris Farms was quite a place.Farming along the Ilinois river basin.My father took me by there several times.Over 100,000 acres I believe.Would always see a large JD 4 wheeldrive hooked to a pump to drain Below levee.Very large farm in 70's/80's. Believe Arabs bought it and then sold to gov't.Gov't turned it back into wetlands; Emiquon National Refuge. Sad thing is all that productive farmground is gone and it is going to be very expensive to bring it back. |
