Hi,
I've got a 50' WD45 that needs some work done on it. I'm looking for information on what the best method of splitting this thing is to replace the torque housing. Either that or if there is someone local that wants to make some money, I'll do that. If anyone knows someone in the Chicagoland area, preferably on the southeast side of lake Michigan, please give me their information.

45s were not made in 1950.  What is wrong the the torque housing?  I believe there is only a shaft on bearings in it.  Should be an easy fix instead of replacing.

I know it is a wd but what's the easiest way to change the housing? The idler shaft broke and kicked the gear out of the housing. So the housing is cracked, and the pto is crap. I have another pto and I can order another housing but I just wonder what the easiest way is to work on the torque housing. From the back?
