Who can educate me on them?  The engine is junk (hired man of the previous owner changed the oil and left the drain plug out.) Going to need an engine and I already reached out to maple hunter to see if they would want pictures/scans of the decals for their catalog.

I have one identical to it except mine has the original engine. Great machine with its 2 stage thrower.
I traded a Bridgestone bicycle and $75 for it. The guy collected bicycles so I got rid of mine and got a machine worth so much more.

The factory chains make a big difference when throwing snow. Hi and lo range gearing work well depending on depth of snow. A nice dry snow can be thrown 30ft at wide open throttle.

Wow! There's a survivor! That machine is in real nice shape is right. To bad for the engine. That's obviously been replaced, but I'll bet when it ran it worked great. Well, just havta' spec out another engine. Congrat's on your new toy!

Would be cool if you can find a era correct 7 hp Briggs, rebuild, and put it back original. Let me know if you want the numbers off mine so you can begin your search. Shouldn’t be difficult to find one.

I would absolutely take the numbers of the original engine.  if nothing else it makes sure i'm not going to overpower it with a new engine.  Thanks!

Any idea the torque these motors would of put out?  I hate how 7hp doesn't mean 7hp anymore

Did Arehns make those for AC? I had like that, maybe a couple years older. Had a Tecompseh(sp) engine. Worked great until the gear went out on the cross auger. No parts available.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
