Replacing oil in the ground is EASY compared to replacing lithium or other minerals.
Just plant a trillion, trillion trees, let Mother Nature make it.
EVs are a short term, very costly diversion to finding a real solution.
Maybe, just maybe, IF the entire World got together, the 'solution' could be found but nations united for a common cause ain't going to happen.
In the meantime, I'd like to see miniNUKEs popup, here ,there, everywhere...
oh yeah, QUIT burying plastics in the landfills too.

Algae Farms and Ethanol can supply fuels for incalculable time, EVs will need all the Lithium Cobalt and other narrow quantity minerals minable and then what, open sore craters just like Lead Mines leaching other native mineral faster into a water table.  Lithium already has proven it is Hazardous, Hydrogen is still primarily produced of Natural Gas where NOTHING even comes close to the value of Petro Fuels for return of energy.

What happened to the idea of a slow discharge capacitor? That was going to allow a refill time of minutes instead of hours. MHO is the battery and charging stations are the Achilles heel of the EV. The genius that gets us beyond the battery is needed badly. With the battery weight an EV is heavier than the older all steel cars to the point where the strength of parking structures comes into question. The roads will suffer under the weight of heavier EVs as well.
As I see it there is a long list of issues that go along with the EVs. It took 100 years to put a gas station on every corner and infrastructure to support it. Consumers paid for every bit of it all and now the WEF types want to dump OUR fuel system and sell us their new system and their new ideas for transportation all chasing the UN Agenda 2035 and Green New Deal ideals. People are not buying EVs because they see the problems with the cars themselves but also the stick in our eye the cars represent.
Auto makers should sell their cars standard with a charger. They could market to 'around town' drivers and probably see some success. It would also allow time for the related infrastructure to be caught up. If there is value to the EV idea it should be able to support itself without massive subsidies but being pushed as the end all solution by the government at the automakers (consumers!) expense is obviously wrong. We had a perfectly good system and the corrupt people want us to trash it all and adopt their made in china solution, what other industries does this remind us of?
