I got a Snowco bale loader this winter and just strated work on it. I have never seen one and have no literature. My main problem right now is that the large wheel on the machine is not the correct wheel, there is nothing on the wheel to drive the winch that lifts the bales. can someone help with information or pictures so I can build what I need?

The day I bought my roto-baler on an auction, there was one of these snow-co bale loaders that you guys are talking about, and looked like the one in the photo above. I am still kicking myself for not buying it because it sold for $25, but I didn't think I wanted because it wasn't A-C, but I now realize it would have been neat to have anyway.

Yup, we had the Ferris wheel type loader too. All mechanical. Does anyone have a picture of this type? I'd sure like to see a copy!

Thanks, Matt! That's it!! Looks complete except for the discharge chute. I don't have information on the machine. Haven't seen one in 40 years.

Yeah it's old but cool Bill.
That "Ferris Wheel" one is not like the one I saw. Looks cool though. A video would be nice to see how they worked. |

Thanks to the requests for information on my father's invention, the WIK Ferris Wheel Bale Loader.
The Ferris Wheel Bale Loader is the wheeled bright red loader which was driving by contact with the hayfield. (Not the PTO) Yes, the stars on both sides of the chute turned the bale for it's travel up the ferris wheel. When it reached the top platform, you threw a hayhook into it, and pulled it off on the wagon or truck. To the three people asking for copies of the original US Patent, info, drawings, and pictures, I have emailed you and will send everything as soon as you respond. Dorothy |

I recently bought a Snow Company BL54 Bale Loader and fixed it up. But I would really like to get a copy of the Operators and Parts Manual for it. I see there were several people who posted about ten years ago that they have this manual available. If anyone can email it to me I would really appreciate it very much! dalecmrogers@gmail.com

Would you happen to have the Operators and Parts Manual for the Snow-co BL 54 Bale Loader? I just recently bought one and fixed it up and will soon try it out-but I would really like to have the Operators Manual. Dale Rogers dalecmrogers@gmail.com

I saw your request for some info about the drive wheel on the Snow-co BL 54 Bale Loader. I would assume that by now you have it all fixed up. But if not I could send you pictures of the cogs on the drive wheel that I just recently bought and fixed up. I would really like to get an Operators manual for it. Dale Rogers dalecmrogers@gmail.com

Dale, are you still looking for a parts manual? A patient of mine was cleaning out his late dads house and brought me in a pile of manuals. There was one in there. Let me know

I’ve never ran across a manual for one. Seen a couple loaders for sale in the past 12 years. Seen one at a show.
