I know it is slightly off topic, but why doesn't anybody truck pull with gasoline powered trucks anymore. Everybody went to diesels. I get tired of watching smoke machines all the time. Haven't been to a truck pull for years since they did away with the standard street gasoline trucks. Used to be some locals that would pull with gasoline powered trucks and did very well. One even had a two wheel drive 60's chevy and it would flat pull. He'd get some daylight under the front tires and could really make it go. Wouldn't pull it real fast, but he always had a high score.

We have some really tough gas trucks around here. Still pretty competitive.

Go to bmf.com they are from around the T-town area. They pull at alot of local pulls not far from you. I,ve seen them a couple times this year. Always put on a good show and they are all gassers.

It's cause diesels are easy horse power. Put a programmer on them and look out. My 02 duramax is stock 300 hp. In less than 2 minutes I can make it 525. Who wants to build a motor to make horses ? The gas trucks around here run in same class. Run whatcha brung. And they are competitive with the diesels. Shawn

We still have a pretty good gas truck showing, but I honestly don't spend much time around truck pullers. Tractor pullers are a lot friendlier and nicer to talk with. Maybe it's just my area.
