Was headed for Menard's in Des Moines today, grandson wanted his gettar brought to him, so a trip to town was in store. I couldn't believe my eyes. My friend Bill Jr has a new green combine in the field running beans. I knew his dad and granddad, there was never anything on those acres but Red equipment. If Jr bought a new green, both those old boys are spinning in their graves. I'll have to drive buy the poppin Johnnie store tomorrow and see if there's a red machine sitting on trade in row. If he did trade, I'll bet them two old boys is a standing behind ol St Peter with a big old club in their hands a waiting on Jr to show up.
