worth a little more usually. if really rough and the only thing good is the front wheel assembly then prolly about the same as a regular one. I have been looking for a single front wheel assembly. But most seem to be too proud of them so they sit and rust more because they want an arm and a leg for it when usually they never doing anything with it. Just saying I have knoticed this in many occations. I want one to restore and bring back to life. Not just so I can say I have one sitting in the corner of the barn or out in the fence line behind the house rotting away. Sorry everyone, rough day.

There were more wide front made for the c but usually people want more for them than the single front wheel set up. Not sure how that works.

I have seen this one. It has been for sale for a long time. I think he want $700 for it. And if I heard right I think it suppose to be a CA. I also heard it was advertised somewhere but it actual location is another state. Thats what I heard. I would pay anymore than $400 but that's just me.

Back about 3 years ago, my local AC parts guy sold a SFW CA that had a stuck engine for somewhere under $1000 (that was his asking price). It was complete but rough, IIRC. The buyer did get the engine unstuck. I think I know who owns it, and it's probably been restored by now. There were fewer SFW CAs made than SFW Cs, and the CA is a handier tractor, so I would say that a SFW C would be worth less. Is this a good comparison? I can't answer that. I admit that $700 seems a bit steep for that tractor - but if someone really wants it...

I paid $600 for my SW C with a stuck engine but it was at our Yesteryear Farm Show and the money went to support the show. Finally got it running on Dec 31 and drove it out of the shop on Jan 1st. Still have to paint it but at least it runs and drives - a good feeling!

I paid 700 for one last fall and the engine was trash. But all tires were good and tin work excellent. Front tire can be on the pricey side. Have a good day. Gary

Here,s my SFW WD,C & CA and yes sometimes you will pay a premium for these tractors or just the front end. I also have a sfw WD45 and a WC.
C or CA frontend $350 to $650, WD-WD45 $250 to $450 Have a good one BILL P

A bargain, if you want it and can afford it, then price doesn't matter. Looks like a good restoration project to me. At least you will only have to replace one front tire...........Tim

AJ, the one in the pic is definitely a C, not a CA. Front cultivator bar mount is still on it, still has bench seat with no platform, no cultivator mount bolt holes in the front that I can see. Just saying, may be another SFW CA still out there for sale.

I have gotten them for free (when I bought another tractor) all the way up to 600 for a runner with new tires. I passed on one for $350 and kicked myself for it later...beware of the tire, they get spendy.

If you are cheap, your odds of owning a rare tractor go down considerably. Not to say it won't happen, because even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.
If you want one, go buy the dang thing! |

I would think that if you REALY want one $700.oo for this unit is not out of line .Remenber ,even you think it is rare ,that makes it worth a bit more .Or yo can wait to find the one the the guy has no idea he has a rare front end and you steal it from him .Then drive 10000 miles to get it .LOL

I grow up with the saying that 'owning a boat is nothing more than a hole in the water in which you throw your money' and the happiest two days are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
I'm starting to believe that restoring old tractors is much the same.
