Recently the transmission went south on my wife and I's Ranch King lawn mower.  After paying close to $90 a year for the motor cycle battery that garranteed goes bad every year and also paying somebody to fix the carb everyyear we decided to look for a new mower.  I found a few Allis' and some Simplicitys and finally decided on a 4212 model.  Bought it for $300 and included in that price was the tuneup and new battery.  After getting it home and replacing the deck belt ($12.50) I got to mow the yard.  Wow!  Talk about much better mower than the old Ranch King.  Better built, easier to operate.  Mows much smoother and cleaner than the old one too.  It is the same mower as an Allis Chalmers 612LTD just slightly different paint and simplicity decals.
