I have a 82 S, without a doubt the best mower for a WD or D series. The mower is directly to your right in front of you, you don’t ever have to turn your head. The mowing is happening just to your right. Easy off, easy on with the mounting plate still attached to your WD. Should have been AC’s most produced mower. Hay conditioner can be pulled and used at the same time. Trust me on this, its awesome.

Any trailer mower will work,easy and quick to hook and unhook.I used a couple AC 82T trailer mowers for years cut good but some parts were getting difficult to get and the twin wheel drive does have some issues used long term.Switched to New Holland 456 trailer mowers,they cut great, very few problems, parts are easy to find if you do need any.With any of them keep them greased up.

I would agree with AC720— a 82s or even the 80s is slick to operate. If the wd has the same hydraulic feature of the 45’s, you can run a crimper on delay. Not have a stiff neck from looking behind you. My father had a 82s on a 45 and went back to the 80s for some reason that I don’t recall ( the 80s was a pain to install) and the 82s just hung on the frame rail. I believe the 80s would run at 90degrees to trim branches though?
