I have a chance to buy a Allis-Chalmers 7630 A.
I have looked for parts and they're not much out there.
I have not looked at it but it runs.
Should I look at something else.

I don't know, I'm saying I don't know what a 7630 is / I don't think there is one.  I think you have the model number wrong, so hard to advise.

There is no such thing as a 7630 Allis-Chalmers. Might be a 7630 AGCO-ALLIS  ??

Those are SAME tractors built in Italy for Agco. Air cooled engines and definitely European styling. They never sold very many of them,so parts availability may be sketchy. It better be cheap and even then, I don't think I would personally buy it.

"SAME" is the name of an Italian Tractor Company...

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Check out Tractor Data.com for the 7630 - only built 2 years 1991 & 1992.

Well, you tell me. If you own it for 10 years and it never requires anything but oil changes and a battery, I'd say you did fine. If you own it six months and it needs a "SAME" widget that makes the engine run or the transmission go into gear, and that widget is no longer available, so now the tractor is a $5000 dollar useless chunk of iron.  Can you even get an oil or fuel filter for it ??? or a hydraulic filter ???

I bought a little Same Solaris 35 maybe 5 years ago for finish mowing, yardwork, etc.  I got it very cheap, and it was in almost new condition.  It actually has been a great little tractor. 4WD, mid-pto, good hydraulics.  I think I have the only one in the country, although I'm guessing at least two were made and sold here.  Actually, they solde the same tractor under the Lamborghini brand, which my daughter thinks makes it a a cool sports car tractor.  Anyway, it turns out that Deutz is trying to make a comeback in the US, and they took over the SAME stuff.  I can call a local Deutz dealer and get almost any part for the SAME.

That doesn't mean the 7630 is a good deal or not, but you can get parts through Deutz dealers now.

I want to say Same is still sold new out here. The local JD dealer sold them 20 years ago, but not now.

I did see 6 to 12 Deutz tractors sitting in a yard up against the highway fence so you would see them.  Has been shop and yard for a real big time farm.
