this morning...had a near perfect rear bumper on it. I asked the guy if he had another one? said he found the one on the car on a junker, and had it re-cromed. I guess if that ole Joe wasn't so cheap, he could find a bumper! (poke, poke)

Now Shameless you know Joe is not cheap, he's frugal! Rechroming is the best route on getting a good bumper for one that old.

Chit,,,I may just have to build one,,,,,,,I have seen some other cars and I'm thinkin the 50's chevy trks had that little inset,,,??? Other trks as well that have that inset piece that could be cut out and welded to my bumper,,,,,, More that one way to skin a cat besides f*****it death,,,, The bumper I have for the car was straightened and re-chromed years ago, you can see the chiesel marks on the inside from the straightening process. I have located a shop in SE Dallas that still has a state permit to do the chroming and they currently have my new "Modified" grill that I made. It gonna be pure bitc****g cool. Reminds me I should call em Monday see when I get it back. Guess I should start to look me for a trk bumper and go ahead and build one,,,,

I saw chrome rattle can paint at Walmart. Had a nice shine lid to show how nice your bumper would look when you’re done. And and and it doesn’t cost much.

Years ago a fellow in Spooner had a garage and had fixed up his tow truck with a souped up Pontiac engine in it and he could leave the punk kids in town at the stop light with a car hooked on behind... DJ, Shameless sure ain't much of a friend to you is he... shucks, ye woulda thought when he left town that he would have had ol' Joe a 55 bumper...

ol chebby truck.... But insteads he has nuthin fer ya.
If'n I had seen thet ol chebby station wagon in the weeds, I woulda
stomped on both braks an slid them wheels ta a stop and drpped it in R
and raced back ta where thet old chebby was, juss ta see if it's bump®
would fit Mz RED . Don'ts know whats we should do with r Shamers... maybe he kicked off one shoe to many...? Maybe he will bring to Hutch an ol' oil can instead ov a hi-powrd greasemonkey gun...

Well,,I'm betting you prolly gots one of your old Sheriff's Dept uniforms ,,,,,at least one that still fits,,,,,,,Ya see,,,you wear it when you go "investigate" that 55 in the weeds ,,,tellin them,,They ain't under any suspicion just yet,,,but that old car may be one reported missing from New Mexico,,,,and you just want to get a some serial numbers,,,Chit,,they'll prolly give you a ride to back to where it is at,,,,,, THEN,,,,,,,you can tell em you gonna have to "confiscate" the back bumper cause it may have been in a Hit & Run over to Iowa,,,,and you'll have your men return it after the investigation is done,,,,,,,,in a couple of years,,,,Ya see how easy it is,,,,er,,,,Used To Be,,,, OH,,,and tell the tow trk driver to just get the whole car savin to have to remove the bumper in them tall weeds,,,,

Heck Joe. I can build you a rear bumper out of some oil field pipe and some of that rattle can chrome paint. That way if some one rear ends you, it'll wreck them worse than it will you. And if you happen to get er stuck in a snow bank, you could hook a chain right onto it and pull it out backwards without tearing the bumber off. Win win. Darrel

Best hurry Joe the 56 O'l JC's buddy is hoping to get is much cheaper than the 57 he has. Or did this give you the "big one" as O'l Fred Sanford was getting on the TV show from way back there. You tell yourself this saves the cost painting and polishing an old rusty one. An you know how sharp somebody's stick is he will have a new whole poked in it if finds you one.
