I thought you guys might like this...
My dad used to plow with an AC 5 bottom 20+ years ago (it was old back then). He bought a JD automatic reset and parked the old AC in a fence row. Recently we wanted to plow up a 50 acre field and make it a haylot, so I got the bright idea of getting the old AC out so I could plow along side the old man.
It took a day to find it and cut down trees the grew around it. The guy renting our land must have pushed it in deeper.
Our other farm is like 10 miles from home. I aired up the old tire, pulled it out and drove it home on that old tire. The tire left rubber marks in the road for miles.
It took a bit, but eventually she cleaned up nice. (and yes, it still has that old tire on it)

We plant hay in the fall around here. This was august last year. I just found this forum. I'll be plowing up some old hay fields with it later this summer again. :)

Back in the day, we sowed alfalfa in the spring w/oats as a cover crop.

I believe that is a 9000 series plow. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

766, a little light on HP for a 5 bottom, but it gets the job done. My options are Ford 6700 (w/turbo) or the 766. Dad pulls his with a Ford 8600 w/turbo.
