The probe end of the thermometer is stuck in the housing. I assume it's just inserted,not a press fit or thread, and that its just corroded in. But I don't want to bust the housing.
Suggestions on how to remove? Heat it and drive it through the housing? |

If the gauge part is twisted off and it's just the tube stuck in there, I've drilled them out.

Luckily I had the housing on the bench. Clamped the tube in needle nosed vise grips and tapped it out.
