just got my steiner catalog in and looking it over.  i noticed that they sell a radiator mounting pad, 2"x2"x1/4" rubber pad.  says fits most allis chalmers.  does my d17 also use these pads, because i saw no sign of originals when i installed my new rad.??  if it does use these it may fix the slight mounting problems i experienced with clearance issues.

I don't think so. There were none on my D17D when I pulled it apart.

 None in mine either, and the parts book duzint show any, except for on top of the rad under the grille shell, they show a pad.
