My son uses a Dodge 5500 dually to deliver all of our hay pulling a 30’ trailer. I have a custom hay rack on the truck also. The question is, we’re putting all 6 new tires on the truck. Should he have all of them balanced or just the front two yes, it’s a four-wheel-drive. And while we’re at it, no one balances the tandem trailer tires do they? Thanks. Dana

Balance ALL, a out of balance rear will damage all four as that transmits across the axle, other damage as shocks or springs adds up over time.

I'm just curious, why would you not balance all 6?

I've always  balanced all of my trailer tires for past 3+ decades.....
as well as all car/truck tires including the spares.

BTW a REAL tire installer guy will put MINIMUM weights on tire/rim. Anything more than an inch of weight is too much, tire needs to be debeaded, turned, try again, until it's done RIGHT !

A tire truer is the best but hardly anyone does it anymore.
