My pulling club is having trailer issues with our mobile pulling scale. Right now we have a home made scale and trailer. The trailer is not road worthy anymore. We are exploring other scale options... building a new lighter one, buying a used scale, trailer combo. If anyone has any ideas to share how their pulling club scale is set up, or any suggestions for what we could do, I would like to hear them. Thanks in advanced!

club i belong to sets scale on upper end of sled when traveling.  unchain and remove with a loader, then set back on when pull is done.  if your sled is traveling, you would only have 1 item to transport instead of 2.

our club uses a pintle hitch semi to pull the sled.the scale sits on back, over the fifth wheel,on a taller bracket, unloads with any kind of hoist or loader.

The club I pull in uses a set of flat digital scales with a LED readout that can be read from the tractor seat. They are very light and much safer, since they are flat. Probably quite expensive, but easy to use and very safe!

WF owner: Do you have a picture of the setup? Also, do you need equipment to lift them? What are they transported on? Who manufactures it?
