i have removed both pto and hydro pumps and i have made covers to block the holes. my question is how much oil is needed in the hydro if these pumps are not there. there is the main shaft that runs thru this area but is about 6" from the bottom of the trouque tube. the hand clutch runs in the 90weight oil if i remember right. some guy was trying to tell me that different oils weigh different meaning a pint of 90 weight compared to pint 5w15engine oil. this same guy is running the engine oil in his rear end not the 90 weight.. what are your opions on this
thanks rob

90 wt. is what is called a hypoid gear oil meaning it is meant for sliding friction as in thr ring & pinion gears 90 should be used where specified. Cal in Ct |
