Thought that I would post some pics of my propane powered 916 Deutz Allis in action. Wish I had a video of it running, but its on my cell phone and I can't send it to my computer. Not sure why. Anyway the carb went bad on the Kohler and we could not find a replacement, so I ordered a propane kit for it and installed it (only takes about 30-40 min to install the kit). Takes longer to install the tank holder I made than the kit. Anyway it runs like a top now (better than it ever has since I have owned it. Fires right up, runs smooth and best of all its a heck of a lot cheaper to run than when it was on gasoline. I can mow my whole yard at todays prices for $4.19 on propane when it would have cost me $7.91 for the same equivalent on gasoline.
Anyway here are some pics. Kids helping out smoothing the dirt out that I moved with the loader tractor. Edited by Sandknob - 19 May 2014 at 12:38pm |
