How many quarts of oil does it take to change the engine oil in a 220 including filters? We have a non-factory dipstick and I want to be sure  the level markings are correct. Thanks in advance.

I would assume that it would take the same amt as the 7030 and up which is 19 quarts with a two filter change and 25 with a three filter change.

220 takes 12 qts + 3 qts with filter change. Hot weather 40 wt, Normal temps 30 wt. I like this spec Transmission takes 104 qts, w/ PTO 108 gts! Looks like the trans fluid does, Trans,Diff,Finals.

AC Lube chart say's the 7030  takes 19 qt change, does not footnote anything to add for filter change, strange??

The 7040 7045 7060 and 7080 was available with them i know, not sure bout the 7030 or 7050. It was an option on the later 7000 series, it was a "luber-finer" filter which was a popular add on on engines in tractors and trucks. Im not sure what they do, the local dealer takes them off he says there not needed. I took the one off my 7080, and my 7060 had it taken off but had another full flow filter added.

Bob you have to drain the bypass filter seperatly. Theres a screw on the top that will let the oil drain otherwise it has a vacum on it and will hold oil. To fill it you lossen the screw and run it till the oil comes out the top then tighten it back other wise it wont fill. Its not the best set up thats probably why most people take them off.

Hmmm I dont know then Bob thats kinda strange. When i changed mine it took about 24 qts. I dont know what the difference would be. Mine was a 7080 but that shouldnt make a difference. With the by pass filter off it now takes 19 tho.

My two-ten operators manual says 21qts with filters changed. I assume it is the same with the 220.

An old 220 (camshaft driven oil pump/shallow oil pan at the front) is 13 qts and 15 qts with filters.....late model 220's ( or old 220's that got updated) with the crankshaft driven oil pump (deep oil pan at the front) would be the same as a 210 ( 19 qts and 21 qts with filters)...all 210's had the deep oil pan. An old shallow oil pan looks the same at the front as it does at the rear. Newer "deep" pans are clearly deep at the front.

BobHnwO, is your bypass filter the large canister type or has someone switch it to the spin on type? That could explain your situation.
