Just acquired a AC 917 that was very well taken care of! Had to put a head gasket on the right side. Got her all buttoned up and mowed lawn with her and she is a beast compared to the B series that I am used to. Are there any things to look for when using these tractors?

The older Kohler twins had problems with operation on slopes. The oil pump is off to one side ( I cannot recall which) and it can result in starvation.

Check the oil religiously!   And yeah, avoid steep side hills
