I'm installing a replacement light switch. The replacement switch does not have any of the terminals labeled.  I do not have the old switch to compare for the wiring hook-up so I want to be sure I do it right. From an old schematic-1. I see the generator wire going to the terminal near the resistor block on the switch. 2. The terminal that connects to the fuse should go to the lights. 3. That means the odd terminal goes to the ammeter.
When I checked for continuity between terminals-the only connection was when the switch was pulled all the way out. No continuity in the off position or the middle position. Do I have that right?
