Hay Guys..looking at getting an H-3..shh do NOT tell wife !!
runs,pictures look OK, NO blade ! looks like 'quick attach( bobcat) setup
needs head bolt( I have 3 D-14s , same engine ???

I'd would appreciate a ballpark price of what it's worth as I have to have it hauled about 40 miles.

Close. It would fit. The G-149 or G-160 used in the HD-3 was a D-15 engine with full-flow oiling system and more RPM's and HP than a G-149 engine from a D-14. It's kinda like installing a 283 Chevy where a 327 used to be.

With those old machines the price is what you are willing to pay , they are not machines in demand for anyone who is earning a living doing dirt work .

Seems the small crawler has been replaced with slid loader and their prices are now rising beyond their value.

Like my HD5G can still do a good days work but it is slow when compared with modern machines - but after owning it for 45 years - I will keep it around yet.

I have an early H-3 with the 149 engine. Later when the D-15 II came out, the H-3 got the 160 engine (Series II ?) Power train is D-15. The tracks are where you can spend a lot of money. A friend has two H-3's for sale in Waterloo. One blade, one loader.

I AM INTERESTED IN AN H3 WITH A 6 WAY BLADE. HELP ME GET IN CONTACT WITH YOUR FREIND IN WATERLOO. SEEN A H3 AT THE PLATTE COUNTY STEAM AND TRACTOR SHOW YESTERDAY, IN PLATTE CITY MO. THINK IT IS A NEAT SIZE FOR ME. ALLIS WILL BE THE FEATURED TRACTOR NEXT YEAR AT THAT SHOW.

H3 radiator
I have a H3 dozer with a bad radiator,a farmer friend told me it is the same as a d14 tractor,can you tell me if he is right or not. thanks tom

I'd say the rad is the same as a D-15 which is 2" wider than the D-14.

thanks calvin for the info. one thing more ,my old rad. is 19one half"wide & 21one/half" high does that help on the model tom
