Steve, there are 2 motels in Paris, Il. the Super 8  217-463-8888, and the Pinnel Motel 217-465-6441. The Super 8 is a newer motel and the Pinnel Motel is an older locally owned very clean motel. They are across the road from each other on the North side of Paris on US 150. The Pinnel Motel is about $20.00 a night cheaper than the Super 8. Both are about 9 miles from the show. When these 2 motels get filled up there are plenty of motels in Terre Haute, In. about 15 miles away. Dale

For what it's worth, two years ago I had trouble with the Super 8. I made reservations eight months in advance for a room with a hot tub. When we arrived, the staff spoke English, until we discovered there was no hot tub in the room and then, all of a sudden, their comprehension of the English language went to "0". They literally acted like they didn't understand what I was saying, despite the fact that fifteen min's earlier they spoke very good English

We stayed at the Pinnell 3 years ago and it was fine.  Walking into the bathroom was like taking a timewarp back to the 1950's....very cool & retro...except it wasn't retro...it was original!  If you've stayed there you'll know what I mean.

Last 2 years we've stayed at the Econo Lodge in Terra Haute because I had points with Choice Hotels for free rooms...and it was fine for a free room!  Mike
