I have old allis chalmers electric forklift.
batteries are charging but, i can't seem to release the brakes.
No side brakes, i believe its auto brake when its off.
anyone know where i can release parking brake without power?
i need to move this under roof before i do anything.
by the way, i need help finding what fuel tank that is.

Some had a cyl that run a park brake. I believe it runs with the steering pump. Does the truck try to run? ------------- There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!! |

My electric forklifts have an automatic brake when you get off the seat. The seat comes up like yours and the rod engages the brake. The tank almost has to be hydraulic since it has a breather on it. That's an opinion as mine are not like that. Den ------------- Own 4 wheel 20, 2-5015, 5020 and associated equipment and 2 electric forklifts. |

That is definatly the hyd tank. If there is an additional auto. brake then it will be attached directly to the drive motor. ------------- There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!! |
