I am putting new sleeves and pistons in a 226 engine. The old pistons were 4.125 flat top, they had an external snap ring on each side to hold the wrist pin in. on the new pistons I have there is no groove machined in the side of the piston for a snap ring to hold the wrist pin in. How will the wrist pin stay in place ? Thanks for any help .

it is clamped into the top of the connecting rod, once installed it cant move.  check your manual as they need to be offset a little or the pin can come out the side and hit the sleeve
