I just got a set of tires to stick on  my puller project.  They are just starting to have some checking in the center of the tire between the lugs.  I want them to last a looooooong time as i spent a pretty penny to get the size, tread wear and rims i wanted.  Is there anything i can do to prevent any further checking/cracking?  They are old and hard,  maby drying out?

16.9x34  COOP 30 degree? tread

I don't know a whole lot about keeping them from cracking, but what I do know is one if the best things you can do is keep them inside on concrete.

Keep them out of the sun!

Use them regularly. When the tire flexes the rubber stays softer. Tires that sit in one spot for long times will fail. Inside storage will increase the tire lifespan greatly.
