So I went to pick up a drawbar and plow for my B this weekend, but when I got to the guy's barn he said he didn't have time to get the drawbar off of the C rear end that it was on. So he gave me the whole rear end, torque tube and plow for the same price we had originally agreed on... the only problem now is that the rear end is sitting in the back of my parents' truck. Everything else I could lift out by hand. Needless to say, they're not terribly happy about it. I had planned on lifting it out with my Dad's WD as it has the front trip bucket on it, but now I'm wondering if it is even designed to handle this much weight. Oh yeah, Dad insists that his tractor is fine, but it wouldn't start... the carb float was stuck and then the battery died. Oh well, it's his tractor, not mine. I don't know the model of loader, but it says "Allis Chalmers" on the tag so I assume it was from the dealer. It was also made in Peru Indiana, I believe. After using mine during storm clean up, I'm sure it will lift it. I lifted 12 foot pine logs, 32" in diameter. I would recommend just lifting it and drive truck out from under it. Sounds like good advice from Bob on the loader. Just wondering though, are you planning to use the C's drawbar on your B? The B and C don't use the same drawbars, as the C rearend is about a foot wider... give or take a little. Just trying to be helpful... I hope it came out that way. |

AS I remember the WD9 loader we got new in 1957, was rated at 2000 pounds.
We had to put in extra shim washers for higher preasure and some wheel weights.

As long as my back wheels stay on the ground, I've never had a problem lifting anything with my #9 loader on the 45. If it's too heavy the pump will bypass. Mines only running about 2800 psi.

I'm proud to say I picked up a whole frame, transmsision and rear end of another WD45 with my WD9 trip bucket!

I picked up the back of My pickup with and extra engie in it with My WD45 & 109 Loader.
Stuffed Planks under it and drove it out of the mud. Could not move with the truck off the ground.

| I was able to lift a complete WD, minus the rear wheels and fenders, by the back axle with my WD and pull it out of a field on the front wheels!! I was amazed!! |

This is good information, I'd like to find a good WD9 loader to go on my WD45....that little short-line itty-bitty loader on it now won't lift much. I'd like to be able to fetch plows & other snap coupler stuff on and off trailers w/o spending a bunch of money. I know some people say those old loaders go for like $100, I'm still waiting for one of those deals, LOL! Mike

I don't know anything about the C's, but that looks a lot like a WD or WD45.
Have you looked for the serial number on the rear end?
