Finally got my CA home yesterday afternoon, opened up and rained cats and dogs less than 2 minutes after getting it off the trailer and into the shop.
It's a little rusty, a whole lot crusty, the wiring is mostly shot to heck and the generator doesn't, but it runs and drives. The hand clutch works but I haven't tried to engage the PTO or hydraulics yet. It took me a little while to figure out how my uncle had been running it but with just a new battery, sediment bowl and a set of plug wires it fired and ran after about the 4th  or 5th try.  No noticeable oil smoke and good oil pressure.
Lots of work to do yet but I'm happy so far.

Good deal to get her home. She's a little sister to my 51CA #669. If that engine is a 60 hp power unit engine you should be able to plow with 3-14's if you can add enough weight. LOL I'm sure she'll play with a 2-14 pin hitch plow. Keep us informed of your progress and post some pictures after her first bath.  Charlie

What year?  I've got a 53 WFE that looks in about the same condition.   Tim

It's a '52 - CA11282. Someone here told me the engine came from a power unit by serial number, R XXXX G .  One of my cousins told me that sometime in the mid '70s it caught fire and fell over or fell over and caught fire and was rebuilt, might be when the block was changed but none of my relatives that are old enough remember the details. One of my uncles cousins told me that he had bought it new, if true I'm the second owner. There is dealer stencil on the tool box but it is almost faded beyond being readable other than the town and part of the name of the dealer.

Write the name of the dealer and the town down and keep it with progress pictures. You could probably find some people that remember the dealer and where it was at in town. These are always interesting facts about an old tractor
