Now, I know this will sound like a "what kind of dummy are you for not knowing this" kind of thing, but I'm new to tractors and when I learn something new about my little B, it's exciting, so I thought I'd share the experience with my new AC friends:
While moving snow this winter, when I released the clutch, there was a popping noise in the left rear wheel. I'm thinking that I have a bad gear or something major getting ready to break. I just knew that the transmission was going to break and I'd have to figure out a way to get my B out of the middle of the road!
Now the good news. It's warm today so I'm out fiddling with my B. I notice the left wheel nut appeared to be loose. So got a large pipe wrench and sure enough, the nut was loose! Unless I'm extremely unlucky, I think I've fixed the transmission knock!

Check the wheel clamps too... I had this happen, in the summer luckily, but the rim came right off the hub... lol!

| I have done thosands of dollers of business with Norm. Returned some items that were not correct. Probaly my fault most f time. No problem at all. Can not think he would try to beat some one out of small item like a junk G. Good man in my oppion. |

You might wanna keep a keen eye on that wheel for awhile. Some B's have been known to wear either the tapered wheel hub or the tapered shaft or both and torque will not tighten them up completely. A little machine work has been know to help when this happens or lining things up and filling with a good epoxy will fix it. Hope you caught yours in time.
