WELL YOUR ARE LOOKING AT ABOUT $125 TO $150.00 WITH BATTERY BLADES AND CARB REBUILD, AND I WOULD ALMOST SAY IT WILL NEED BEARINGS IN THE DECK, BUT IF THAT IS ALL I WOULD SAY AROUND $250 I GAVE $125 FOR THIS 712H AND 48 IN DECK RUNNINGBUT I NEED TO PUT BEARINGS IN THE DECK, THEY ARE NOISY.

Make sure it has the Series II engine. The Series I Kohler KT twins had lubrication problems. If it has a rear lift kit that is worth some $$$. Does it have hydro-lift or manual? If the blower is an easy fits thats another $100-$250 of value. In tip-top shape a 917 with blower and 48" deck could bring close to $700-$1000. An average good runner w/deck is probably $400-$700 depending on the location and timing.

"carburetor rebuild" could be masking bad engine problems. Maybe carb is ok and it is really an engine problem.

My 917 dont idle correctly,---(has an 18 hp in it--the guy tossed in the old 17hp, so I still have the little engine)---he thought it was carb problem,--I think its more governor related myself!---will find out this spring when I can get out there to work on things! thanks; ac fleet
